LOCATION

Heywood is a town in the Western District of Victoria. It is a 20 minute drive north of the city of Portland, and has a population of roughly 1300 people. The Fitzroy River runs through Heywood on its way south to the coast. Heywood has two schools, a kindergarten, a hospital, a library and many sporting facilities. Heywood Consolidated School services many smaller towns in the district, including Heathmere, Drumborg, Condah, Greenwald and Homerton.
